Students and staff appreciate having new books added to our media center book collection. Calvin Christian accepts used book donations which we add to our library, sell through Nice Twice or through Amazon used books, or which we bring to Rapid Shred. We believe that providing new, popular titles, however, is crucial for encouraging our students to read for pleasure, and new non-fiction books are helpful with many research projects. With this in mind, Calvin Christian asks for your assistance in participating in our Donate-A-Book Program.
In order to purchase new books for our media center, we are asking for $20 donations which will provide the following.
1) Families will be able to choose a book for us to purchase from our ‘Wanted Book List’ (available at calvinmc.com/library/node/65).
2) We will recognize this donation by indicating the name of the donor on the inside cover of the book.
3) We will wave/forgive library late fines for the year should anyone in your family receive a late book fine (this does not cover lost or damaged book fines).
4) Most importantly, we will be appreciative of your contribution toward providing new, popular books for our students.
